How the Linden journaling app handles your data (it doesn't).
Effective date: May 15, 2026
Hi — thanks for using Linden. Linden is a small, independent app, so support is direct. If something isn’t working or you have a question, the fastest way to reach me is by email.
I aim to reply within 48 hours, usually faster. If you don’t hear back within a week, please check your spam folder or resend — gmail occasionally hides messages from new senders.
On the unlock screen, tap “Forgot pattern?” at the bottom. The app will offer to factory reset itself — this deletes all of your local data (entries, photos, moods, templates) and lets you set a new pattern.
There is no way to recover the pattern itself. Linden never stores the pattern in a recoverable form — only a one-way hash — so even the developer cannot retrieve it.
On your iPhone only. Nothing is uploaded. If iCloud Backup is enabled in your iOS Settings, Apple may include Linden’s data in your encrypted device backup, but Linden itself never sends anything to a server.
Either:
Not yet. An export-to-text feature is on the roadmap. For now, all your entries are visible in-app and stay accessible as long as you keep Linden installed.
No. Linden is iOS-only for now.
Because shipping the first version mattered more than monetizing it. Linden may add optional theme packs and template packs as one-time purchases in a future update, but the core diary will always be free.
